Pen drive or USB drive or kind of memory device
where we can store our data and travel easily. They have made our life very
convenient. Earlier they were costly and with low memory space, but today the USB
drives are able to carry the data equivalent to our some years old PC hard disk
storage. Today we can have different denomination of USB drives normally and
they are available from 1GB to 64GB at a very affordable and long lasting life
span.
With the convenience,
there are some troubles also. Yes, USB has made our life convenient but due to
data portability it has given another way also to viruses and malwares to
travel through different machines. This is really a big nuisance sometime to
get infected by a virus and result in a data and time loss.
But there
are some ways to get rid of this, I would like to share some useful tips with
you here and by following them you can prevent these problems and save your
time.

- First of all, install any good antivirus software on your computer and update it regularly to prevent from new threats.
- Install some USB check software; they will scan your USB drives before getting the access to you and your system, so that it could not infect your computer, if it has any virus. Some auto run programs are deleted by these utility which could infect your computer. Search for any good free ware utility on Google, you will find many there.
- An easy way and prevention is here. Whenever you connect your USB drive and able to see a drive icon on your computer screen to access the data in it. Do not double click on it. Hover the mouse on icon, right click on it and then click on explore. This will prevent to execute any program , which is attached directly on drive click.
