TIPS: How to Protect Our Email or Another Account to be hacked

Today we are living in the era of information technology and Information technology plays a very vital role in our life. Some years ago, people used to have their account registered with any email service provider at least but they did not used to give a lot of time while surfing mail only. Obviously all the time mails could not be so much entertaining. Humans are social animal and in result we have social networking website also and they are the most popular kind of websites today. Example is the Facebook. Facebook has the largest user base, which is called the third largest population after China and India. Yes the user base is more than 500 millions.

Now people are addicted to this and they have done so many things to improve their account, to make their account look good. Even so many friends of them are only online and connected merely by their account. Obviously these things make their identity and their account so much important. As if anything happens bad with their account or any post, it is assumed that the owner of the account has done this, whether this is good or bad.

Due to this importance safety of these accounts are also very important. I would like to share some tips with you here which could help you out.

• Make your password long and alphanumeric with any symbol like $passwordtext456. Donot use your name in your password string, else it could be guessed some time easily.
• Change your password regularly; it will make your account more secure.
• Some time you get links in your mail or even in social networking website and when you click the account login page is loaded, which asked you to enter your user id and password. This is called phishing if this does not belong to the genuine website. If you enter your user and password the details will be sent to the hacker. To prevent this, see the address bar of your browser, where you can see the correct address of the website which it claims to be.
• Do not share your password with anyone.
• In public computer, never save your password, else it could be retrieved by hacker using some utilities.
• Prefer to login on your own computer and not on public computer unless you trust enough. There are some keylogger devices and software available, which could records your key strokes and password could be revealed. Even if you do this then change your password at your own computer immediately.
• Use good antivirus and machines with good antivirus.

These tips seem to be very complex, but they are not. If you make your habit of these things , you will be very secure in the online world. Hope this will help you. Your feedback and suggestions are welcome.
